Deutsche Schulen machen "Afrikatage". Das ist doch gute Bildungsarbeit, oder? Was wird vermittelt? Trommeln, Tanzen, Batik, Modenschau, AIDS, Hunger,… 3. Sustainability conference for Project work ("development cooperation ") of the African Diaspora from Freiburg and surroundings
"Development aid" and "development cooperation" have developed. The Diaspora takes in hand the project work and promotes a lot in the homeland. Who knows best of all what the home village and the home town needs most urgently and how one can go forward very well "The Diaspora".
However, one finds with the appropriate events on the subject still primarily always Germans. What does this lie with? The motives for the honorary application are others, but also the problems and obstacles. e.g.: The great poverty, the high expectations from the native country, corruption in the homeland and the high work pressure in Germany, little time for project work, and a lot more. German schools offers "Africa days". Nevertheless, this is a good educational work, or? What is given? Drums, dancing, batik, fashion show, AIDS, hunger, ... Nevertheless, Africa has to offer substantially more, also a lot from what we Germans can learn and profit from. Maybe the chance lies for both in the cooperation on an eye level what everybody should profit from. I wish a topical, true picture of Africa which also comes on the rich culture.
